How masonry takeoff works
- Open your drawings. Drag the architectural and structural sheets into the browser. Nothing installs, and by default nothing is uploaded.
- Set the scale. Click a known dimension and type its length, or pick a standard scale. Every measurement then reads in real feet. The drawing scale chart shows how to read and check a scale note.
- Measure and count. Trace wall areas by type and the lintels, joints, and reinforcing, and count openings. Detect Runs groups wall line-work to give you a head start, and Trace Walls proposes walls with their linear feet for you to review; its accuracy is in our published wall-detection benchmark.
- Export. Send wall areas and linear items to Excel or CSV, then apply your units per square foot for block and brick counts.
