How drywall takeoff works
- Open your architectural drawings. Drag the floor plans into the browser. Nothing installs, and by default nothing is uploaded.
- Set the scale. Click a known dimension and type its length, or pick a standard scale. Every measurement then reads in real feet. The drawing scale chart shows how to read and check a scale note.
- Measure walls and areas. Trace partition runs and area fills by type, or let Trace Walls propose the walls and Detect Spaces the rooms for you to review. A traced wall reports linear feet, and wall area once you give it a height; the accuracy of wall tracing is in our published wall-detection benchmark.
- Export. Send wall lengths and areas to Excel or CSV for your bid.
