Takeoff tools are Windows apps

PlanSwift and On-Screen Takeoff are Windows desktop applications. Running them on a Mac means virtualization, a Windows license, and the overhead of both.

Set the scale and measure. Trace by hand or let auto-detection find rooms and runs, each named so you can verify it against the sheet.
Export to Excel. Quantities drop into the spreadsheet your estimate already lives in.

On a Mac, Lite in the browser is the product, and it carries the full markup, measurement, and takeoff workflow. Quantities export to Excel, so pricing happens in the workbook you already use. If your team is mixed, Mac estimators on Lite and Windows estimators on Pro will share the same PDFs.
